Shower Door Repair & Replacement

Leaking seals, sticking rollers, cracked glass, a door that won't close right. We fix what's fixable and replace what isn't — and tell you honestly which one it is. Serving Salt Lake City, Sandy, Draper, and the whole Salt Lake Valley.

Common problems we fix

  • Water leaking out of the shower. Usually worn seals, a door that's shifted, or a sweep that's past its life. Often a straightforward repair.
  • Sliding doors that stick or jump the track. Worn or broken rollers are the usual cause. Rollers are a common replacement part, and a door that slides smoothly again is often a same-visit fix.
  • Doors that won't close or won't stay closed. Hinges wear, magnets weaken, and houses settle — a door that fit five years ago may not fit today. Sometimes it's an adjustment; sometimes the hardware needs replacing.
  • Cracked or chipped glass. Tempered glass can't be patched. If the panel is cracked, it has to be replaced — but the frame and hardware often don't.
  • Corroded frames and tracks. In older framed doors, the bottom track is usually the first thing to go. If the corrosion is light, we can clean and reseal it; if it's through the metal, replacement is the honest answer.
  • Moldy or failing caulk and seals. Old sealant is a common source of leaks and smell. Re-sealing is a small job that makes a real difference.

Repair or replace? How we decide

We look at the door in person and give you a straight answer. The rule of thumb: if the frame is sound and the problem is a part — rollers, seals, hinges, a single panel — repair is usually the better value. If the frame is corroded, the door no longer fits the opening, or the repair would cost close to a replacement, we'll say so and quote the replacement instead. We don't sell you a new door when a $30 part would do.

What a replacement involves

If the old door has to go, we measure the opening, remove the old door, and install the new one — frameless or framed, your choice. Most replacements are a single visit once the new door is made. If your opening is a standard size, turnaround can be fast; custom glass takes longer to fabricate. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your quote.

What to tell us

When you request a quote, a few details help a lot: what's wrong, how old the door is (if you know), whether it's framed or frameless, and whether it's a tub shower or a walk-in. Photos help too — mention in the form that you have them and we'll ask for them when we reply.
