Frameless Shower Doors

Heavy glass, minimal hardware, and a bathroom that looks bigger the day it's installed. Serving Salt Lake City, Sandy, Draper, and the whole Salt Lake Valley.

What a frameless door actually is

A frameless shower door is a panel of thick tempered glass — usually 3/8" or 1/2" — held by small clips and hinges instead of a metal frame around the edge. There's no track along the bottom and no frame to trap water, soap, or mildew.

The result is a shower that feels open, shows off your tile, and is easier to keep clean than a framed door. It's the most popular choice for a bathroom remodel, and for good reason.

When frameless is the right call

  • You're remodeling. If new tile is going in, a frameless door is the finish that makes the whole room look done.
  • Your bathroom is small. Clear glass doesn't chop the room in half visually the way a framed door does.
  • You want low maintenance. Fewer edges and no bottom track means fewer places for buildup to hide.
  • Your shower is an unusual shape. Neo-angle corners, oversized openings, and walk-in showers are all easier to fit in frameless glass because the panels are cut to your measurements.

What to expect

We measure in person — walls are rarely perfectly square, and a frameless door lives or dies on the measurement. After the measure, the glass is fabricated to fit your opening, then installed in a single visit in most cases. We'll talk through the choices with you: clear or frosted glass, hinge or sliding, and hardware finishes like chrome, brushed nickel, or matte black.

Cost depends on the size of the opening, the glass thickness, and the hardware. A standard single door costs less than a large two-panel enclosure. We quote after measuring, so the number you get is for your shower — not a guess. Quotes are free.

Keeping it looking good

A squeegee after each shower takes about 30 seconds and does most of the work. In the Salt Lake Valley, hard water is the main enemy — a quick wipe keeps mineral spots from building up on the glass. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads; mild soap and water is enough. We'll walk you through care when we install.
